Holiday Stress

We are heading full-force into the holiday season. Halloween is behind us, and we are only a couple of weeks away from Thanksgiving. After that, we have Hanukkah and Christmas, then tie the whole thing up with Auld Lang Syne on New Year’s Day. For kids, this is a great time of the year. The weather is getting colder, and the snow is on the way. Holidays means getting together with family and friends, and of course, Hanukkah and Christmas mean gifts! What a great time of year!

For adults, this time of year can be extremely stressful. For some people getting together with family leads to more stress than enjoyment, especially when you are around a family member that can trigger an emotional trauma. If you are hosting for the holidays, cleaning and preparing a meal for 15 people is a monumental task. The holiday season is also a financially difficult time as the gifts for your immediate family, not to mention the siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandparents, can add up to quite a significant bill at the end of the month.

During this time, you must take time out to take care of yourself. It is so easy to get wrapped up in everything that needs to happen, and before you know it, your nerves are frayed, you are on edge, you end up in a place that will make the next holiday gathering that much more stressful. It is a vicious cycle.

The biggest problem with stress and anxiety is that they lead to long term health issues, and people wind up needing to be on medication to get through the day and the season. Stress and anxiety can also cause physical issues over time with a weakened immune system. These conditions also take away your happiness. You can no longer find peace and happiness during a season that is supposed to be all about peace, love, and family.

We talk a lot about how acupuncture is a great tool for athletes to help recover from a tough workout or competition. Acupuncture is also a great way to help avoid injuries before they happen. As Acupuncture is a great way to take care of your physical stresses, it is also a scientifically proven way to help with your emotional stresses. Acupuncture, as any form of treatment, is, a very personal thing, Joseph will sit with you to learn about your background and medical history. After determining your specific requirements, Joseph will recommend a protocol that will help create balance and healing.

Acupuncture has helped countless people in improving their physical and emotional health. Conditions such as anxiety, insomnia, and depression are only a few that can be treated with proven protocols.

Acupuncture boosts your energy. So often, we feel so tired and overwhelmed, even feeling exhausted after waking up in the morning. Acupuncture can help with low energy conditions and boosts your energy levels.

One of the biggest benefits is that Acupuncture is relaxing. You are being placed in a relaxing and calming environment, and while the specific treatment is helping, the very act of being treated can also relieve stress, and many people fall asleep while being treated. Acupuncture is an incredible drug-free alternative that creates harmony and restores well-being.

Enjoy the holidays as you did as a child, even with the adult responsibilities. Bring peace, joy, and happiness back into your life, and from now on, you will look forward to the holidays and time with your family and friends.
